Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients across various settings, including clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and provide education on their use and potential side effects.
• Experience administering injections as part of treatment protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes to coordinate care.
• Engage in utilization management to ensure appropriate use of resources.
• Psychotherapy children and adults
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
• Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in psychiatric nursing.
• Experience in memory care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Computer literacy a must.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.
