Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University invites applications for part-time (25%) Lecturer position beginning August 16, 2025. We seek a skilled instructor who will teach two large online asynchronous sections of developmental psychology per year, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester, with the option of remote work.
This part-time term faculty position is 25% full-time equivalent (FTE), 9-month position with an initial 1-year term.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
Required Minimum Qualifications
The Department of Psychology is a part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and aims to foster an understanding of how humans develop, learn, think, feel, act, and relate to one another. The department consists of nationally and internationally known faculty and psychologists, state of the art laboratories and equipment for conducting research, fully and continuously accredited Counseling Psychology program and individually supervised clinical training. Our faculty conduct research in three major areas of psychology: Cognitive, Social and Counseling.

- Master’s degree in Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, or related field.
- Completed Ph.D. in Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, or related field.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience
- Experience with teaching in an online setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in developmental psychology.
