Job Overview
Are you looking for an opportunity to work with a wonderful staff and become an active part of a collaborative, therapist owned company? Did you join this field so that you could make an impact on clients and their families? Well this is the position for you! Cooper Therapy Connections, opened in 2019 and is rapidly growing. As a Mental Health Professional at our facility, you will be responsible for providing a full range of clinical services including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. We use evidence-based treatment and family input in order to guide therapy and ensure goals are functional and important to their child. We provide clients and families with compassionate support in order for them to feel empowered at supporting their child's social/emotional needs. In addition to clinic work, we support the local community schools by providing therapists to fill in for open positions as able!

This position has flexible hours and a waitlist of clients and schools ready to start.

Responsibilities

  • The person selected to fill this position will work with children and/or adults with a variety of diagnoses to help them move towards and meet milestones
  • Comply with HIPAA laws
  • Diagnoses range in severity, complexity, and co-morbidity.
  • Evaluation of social/emotional/mental health diagnosis, development and implementation of effective treatment programs, counseling to patients and patient's families about results of testing and recommended treatment options, establishing patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment, and maintaining appropriate data and paperwork with daily SOAP notes, progress notes, treatment plans, and evaluation reports
  • Perform other duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor

Requirements

  • Valid Professional license in the state of Illinois and the necessary credentials to practice in the state of Illinois
  • LCPC or LPC preferred
  • Responsible for obtaining the necessary CEU’s to be in line with the expected renewal period
  • Be in good standing with the professional board of Ethics
  • Practice within the scope of professional training, endorsements and certifications
  • Be a mandated reporter and as such needs to have a signed DCFS mandated reporter form/affidavit on file
  • A family-centered approach to intervention and strong collaborative skills
  • Provide a quality customer service focus and an enthusiastic attitude
  • Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, self-initiative, and desire for ongoing learning

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 25 per week
