Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech) to join a structured outpatient behavioral health program. This role involves working closely with clinical staff to support adult clients managing mental health conditions in a therapeutic, non-restrictive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to clients during therapeutic programming and group activities
• Assist with monitoring patient behavior, mood, and participation
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants
• Document client interactions and report significant changes to clinical staff
• Support crisis intervention and follow safety protocols when needed
• Help facilitate daily routines and program schedules
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and medical staff to ensure quality care

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or coursework in psychology, mental health, or a related field preferred
• Prior experience in behavioral health or mental health settings strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm and professional in crisis situations
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• Daytime hours only
• No evenings, weekends, or holidays

Compensation:

• $22–$24/hour (W2, based on experience)
