Position Overview:

We are currently hiring Psychiatric Technicians (Psych Techs) to join a residential mental health treatment team. This role supports adult clients living in a therapeutic residential environment focused on recovery and mental wellness. Ideal candidates will have a calm, professional demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and support teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily routines, therapeutic activities, and program schedules
• Monitor and document client behavior, safety, and participation
• Support clients in crisis situations following facility protocols
• Encourage healthy coping strategies and provide emotional support
• Ensure a clean, structured, and safe living environment
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other care staff
• Complete accurate, timely documentation of client interactions and incidents

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in psychology, mental health, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in a behavioral health, residential, or psychiatric care setting strongly preferred
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong interpersonal, de-escalation, and observation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Schedule:

• Full-time or Per-Diem available
• Day, evening, and overnight shifts offered
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred for per-diem staff

Compensation:

$20–$22/hour (W2, depending on experience and shift)
