Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and empathetic Behavioral Health Counselor to join a structured outpatient mental health program that provides therapeutic services to adult clients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment focused on recovery, personal growth, and mental wellness.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions
• Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and support staff
• Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with licensing and program standards
• Provide crisis intervention, support, and referrals when necessary
• Participate in team meetings and case reviews to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Active and unrestricted Virginia license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Resident in Counseling)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a behavioral health or mental health counseling role (outpatient experience preferred)
• Strong therapeutic, communication, and documentation skills
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment models (DBT, CBT, etc.)
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative treatment environment

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• Daytime hours only (no nights, weekends, or holidays)

Compensation:

• $38–$42/hour (W2, based on experience and licensure)
