Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care on our 28-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit. Our unit serves individuals with a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, offering a dynamic and collaborative clinical environment. This position follows a 7-on/7-off schedule, promoting work-life balance while allowing for continuity of care. The ideal candidate will be committed to our mission of transforming mental health care delivery-placing patient autonomy, dignity, and holistic healing at the center of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and daily rounds on patients.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with nurses, social workers, and other team members.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary case conferences.
• Provide supervision or consultation to other staff as needed.
• Offers opportunity to teach medical students

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina
• DEA certification and the ability to prescribe controlled substances.
• Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
