PER THE RBT HANDBOOK: " Behavior Technicians May Not be Independent Contractors in the U.S. In addition to this being a serious IRS matter, failure to use the appropriate worker classification for behavior technicians may constitute a violation of the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts.
In the event that a Code violation is alleged against you for mischaracterization of RBT services, the BACB will request a copy of the written opinion of a tax professional to demonstrate that appropriate due diligence was exercised in making the classification."

The Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) primary mission at SEA is to assist the founders in building a uniquely educational experience for children in the SWFL community with developmental disorders such as ASD, ADD and ADHD through the science of Applied Behavior Analysis therapy.
Smart Endeavors ABA provides the necessary training and resources towards obtaining the RBT certification prior to hire.
This position is not a Telehealth position.

The role of the RBT will be to:
-Conduct 1:1 therapy in an enthusiastic manner
-Follow specific treatment plan in the delivery of behavior analytic therapy to enrich the learner's growth in skills acquisition while working on eliminating problematic behaviors that affect development
-May work with typically developing children as well as children with disabilities
-Create an environment of engagement and learning
-Collect data and writes progress notes
-Inform immediate supervisor of issues as they arise
-Submit time sheets and supervision logs on time
-Complete daily session notes
-Complete authorized therapy hours per client
Pre-employment requirements RBT level:
- Level two background check
- BACB registered as an RBT
- Lee County school badge (when working in schools)
Pre-employment requirements Behavior tech (entry) level:
- Level two background check
- 40 hour course completed
Physical requirements for an RBT include, but are not limited to:
-Sitting/standing: Long periods of time sitting or standing with client(s) in various settings.
-Crouching/kneeling: When working with younger clients, kneeling to their level helps build rapport.
-Lifting/carrying: Transporting client materials to and from sessions (up to 25 lbs).
-Running: Some clients tend to elope during the session, requiring running to ensure the client’s safety.
-Pushing/pulling: Working with clients with physical impairments might require pushing and/or pulling wheelchairs, or other physical assistant devices.
-Crawling: Playing with clients on the floor, motor imitation, and other floor activities.
-Crisis Prevention (Safety Care): *For certified staff only

1. Case 1
Setting: Home in Summer, School+Home in Fall
Hours: Approximately 30hrs
Time: Monday - Friday (8am-2pm)
2. Case 2
Setting: Home in Summer, School+Home in Fall
Hours: Approximately 24hrs
Time: Monday-Friday (10am-2:30pm)
3. Case 3
Setting: Daycare in Summer, School in Fall
Hours: TBD
