Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Substance Abuse Coordinator to manage their program under the supervision of the Program Manager. This role involves providing individual and group counseling to participants, conducting educational lectures and process groups, formulating and reviewing individualized treatment plans, and maintaining progress notes. Effective communication with participants and maintaining linkages with related organizations are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement program goals and assist staff in clinical matters.
- Audit case files to ensure compliance with agency and SUPR standards.
- Conduct didactic groups, individual counseling, and DUI services as needed.
- Conduct off-site services and perform intakes and assessments as required.
- Responsible for an assigned caseload, including documentation and monitoring treatment progress.
- Provide initial individual orientation and support for re-entry navigation.
- Maintain participant records in compliance with agency standards and policies.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities.
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria and DMS V diagnosis.
- Familiarity with DHS regulations (2060/2090) and CARF requirements.
- Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) candidates preferred.
- Competency in MS Office Applications and strong communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, and ability to work independently.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to use a personal vehicle for work purposes.
