A dynamic educational environment in Springfield, OH, is seeking a dedicated professional to support students across various grade levels. This part-time position focuses on providing behavioral support and guidance within a K-12 setting for the upcoming school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Social Worker License or Ohio Clinical Counselor License
- Certified counselor with experience in school settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs)
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a Crisis Intervention team
- Experience with elementary and high school students preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
- Springfield, OH
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Behavior Specialist, assisting students with behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with educators and staff to create supportive learning environments
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, advocating for student needs
- Complete Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs) to assist in the evaluation process
- Work closely with the Crisis Intervention team to support student wellbeing
- Manage a varied caseload across K-12th grade
