Position Overview:

Oak Hills Local Schools is seeking a qualified and dedicated On-Site School Psychologist to provide in-person psychological services within one school building. This position can be full-time or part-time (3 days per week), offering flexibility depending on the candidates availability and the districts needs. The role supports either a middle school or a K-8 school setting, with the specific location to be determined as part of the hiring process.

The school psychologist will manage a caseload of approximately 50 students for full-time or 25 students for part-time, focusing on psychoeducational evaluations, solution-focused counseling, and assistance with the schools intervention programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services.

  • Provide solution-focused counseling to students to support social-emotional development and address behavioral concerns.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, intervention specialists, and families to support student success.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of the schools intervention programs.

  • Attend and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other student support team meetings.

  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, counseling sessions, and other student support activities.

  • Serve as a resource for school staff regarding behavioral strategies, assessment data interpretation, and student support.

  • Operate within one assigned building, building strong relationships within that school community.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio School Psychologist license/certification.

  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

  • Experience conducting school-based assessments and delivering counseling or behavioral interventions.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school environment.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Flexibility and adaptability regarding work schedule and school location.

Schedule & Caseload Details:

  • Full-Time Option: Approximately 7:30 AM 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

  • Part-Time Option: Approximately 3 days per week with a caseload of about 25 students

  • Caseload includes evaluation cases and counseling/intervention support

  • Location assignment (middle school or K-8) will be based on candidate fit and district need
