The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) will receive referrals and consults from the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Ottaquechee Health Center as well as the emergency department and inpatient units. The Psychiatric NP will assess patients, diagnose mental conditions, prescribe or recommend psychopharmacological intervention, provide counseling and patient/family education and refer to mental health counselors and community resources as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Advanced Practice Nurse in Psychiatry
• Vermont License and Federal DEA Certification

Experience: At least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred.

SALARY: $125,000 - $150,000
