Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
This position seeks a dedicated Educational Diagnostician or School Psychologist to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting in Burlington, NC. This part-time role offers approximately 25 hours per week, focusing on evaluating and supporting student needs through assessment and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for students to determine educational and psychological needs
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering professional insight and recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop effective intervention strategies and support plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and related services
- Deliver services primarily in person to engage directly with students and school personnel
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician or School Psychologist
- Experience working within K-12 education settings
- Strong understanding of federal and state special education laws, regulations, and procedures
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and report-writing skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse student populations and school teams
Location:
- Position is based in Burlington, North Carolina, with onsite responsibilities at the school
Contract Duration:
- This is a contract role for the normal school year (NSY)
