Family Solutions - Practice Management Solutions is currently hiring a full-time, licensed mental health clinician (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) to support the behavioral and emotional well-being of construction professionals at a worksite outside of Seattle, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver meaningful services in a unique, high-impact environment where mental health support is critical to maintaining a safe, productive, and resilient workforce.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Chief Director of the Family Solutions Counseling Division, the clinician will provide mental health assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and wellness support to construction professionals at the Seattle, WA worksite. The clinician is expected to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services that promote mental well-being, emotional well-being, stress management, and healthy coping among a diverse, dynamic workforce.

This is a part-time position, compensated at $55.00 per hour for one eight-hour day per week. Compensation is provided for the clinician’s availability during this scheduled time, regardless of client appointment volume. Clinicians will be paid for their time whether or not clients are scheduled or attend during that day.

Licensure and Certification Requirements

  • Must be fully licensed in Washington as a:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Maintain current state licensure and any necessary national certifications.
  • Must comply with all continuing education and ethics requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Fully licensed in Washington as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Experience in providing behavioral health services in outpatient, EAP, or occupational health settings is preferred.
  • Experience with providing behavioral health services to clients presenting with substance use or co-occurring behavioral health issues is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience serving adult, working populations (e.g., industrial, labor, or high-stress settings) is highly preferred.
  • Experience in critical incident stress management (CISM), trauma-informed care, mental health first aid, or crisis response is an asset, but not required.

Key Responsibilities and Functions

  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to identify needs, risks, and appropriate care planning for construction site employees.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and worker goals.
  • Provide confidential counseling services for a range of mental health issues, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, stress, interpersonal concerns, substance use, and trauma.
  • Conduct on-site suicide risk screenings and safety planning; refer to acute services as clinically indicated.
  • Conduct on-site mental health awareness trainings, using provided mental health awareness training materials and curricula, as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the site’s Safety Manager, Medical Officer, and HR/Wellness Teams to coordinate care and promote workforce mental health initiatives.
  • Respond to unscheduled mental health crises as needed on-site and/or via telehealth and provide timely clinical intervention.
  • Support workers with services such as mental health debriefings during critical events, such as accidents, fatalities, or major schedule disruptions.
  • Facilitate wellness programming, toolbox talks, and workshops as requested.
  • Maintain timely and compliant documentation, including SOAP notes, progress summaries, and treatment updates.
  • Participate in training events, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure care is delivered in accordance with HIPAA, HiTECH, and best practice standards.
  • Maintain professional liability insurance compliant with state requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, non-traditional setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills suited to interacting with a predominantly male, labor-oriented population.
  • Cultural humility and an understanding of the unique needs of construction workers, including variable schedules and physical job demands.
  • Comfort with flexible service delivery—sessions may be provided in mobile units, wellness trailers, or other confidential site locations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records, telehealth software, and workplace communication tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to nearby Practice Management Solutions locations or for training purposes.
