Position Summary
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) / LPC /LAC is a critical member of the clinical team at our substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring treatment facility. This role is responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to individuals struggling with SUD and co-occurring mental health disorders. The LCSW /LPC/LAC will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in mental health and addiction, a passion for working with underserved populations, and the ability to support patients in achieving long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and evaluations to determine treatment needs for individuals with SUD and co-occurring disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs, goals, and clinical diagnoses.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Deliver trauma-informed care and culturally sensitive treatment to a diverse patient population.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other medical staff to ensure effective medication monitoring and management.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies, HIPAA regulations, and state requirements.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in regular case reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure clinical excellence and compliance with all licensing and accreditation standards.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with peer recovery specialists, care managers, group facilitators, and administrative staff to provide coordinated care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, barriers, and treatment adjustments.
- Provide clinical consultation and support to other staff members as needed.
Patient Advocacy & Education
- Advocate for patient needs, including access to housing, employment, and other social services.
- Educate patients and families about substance use, mental health, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery resources.
- Facilitate referrals to higher levels of care, self-help groups, or community-based resources when necessary.
- Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience:
◦ Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in SUD and/or co-occurring treatment settings.
◦ Experience working with underserved or culturally diverse populations preferred.
- Skills:
◦ Strong understanding of evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
◦ Proficiency in working with individuals with dual diagnoses.
◦ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
◦ Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Technical Skills: Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
