4M Research is currently seeking a Suicide Prevention Coordination Specialist/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker for our location in Hurlburt Field, FL.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers and monitors compliance of AFSOC's suicide prevention program for military, civilian, and family members IAW: DoDI 6400.09, AFI 90-5001, and USSOCOM Directive 1-4 Suicide Prevention Policies and Procedures.
  • Plans and leads complex initiatives and multiple projects to promote program growth, improvement, and sustainability.
  • Determines, maintains, communicates, and manages project organization, prioritization, and strategic and tactical plans.
  • Coordinates with internal and external organizations to share information, trends, best practices, lessons learned, and/or training developments.
  • Collects and monitors all AFSOC, HAF, SOCOM, DoD suicide related data and provides data tracking and analytics for input into executive leadership reporting and decision making.
  • Generates, interprets and analyzes data from multiple sources to develop best practices and lessons learned to mitigate high risk behaviors.
  • Generates reports comparing suicide related metrics from AFSOC to SOCOM, DAF and DoD on no less than a quarterly basis.
  • Complies with data calls and other requests as directed by the AFSOC CAT Chair, AFSOC CAB Executive Director or AFSOC A1Z Division Chief.
  • Monitors commands on unit compliance with established training objectives related to suicide prevention and Management Inspection Communication Toolkit (MICT) Inspections.
  • Participates in the review and revision of programmatic policies.
  • As required, participates in, and directs incident review procedures for all suicide-related incidents, including deaths, assisting AFSOC Prevention Program Manager with coordination and preparation for annual Suicide Analysis Boards.
  • IAW DoD, HAF/DAF, SOCOM, monitors and tracks compliance with mandated annual training, ensuring 100 percent training by calendar year.
  • Ensures the suicide prevention efforts involve MAJCOM education/awareness for all active duty, family members, and civilian work force.
  • Identifies, develops and maintains local database of policies, procedures and programs for primary prevention of suicide to include researching evidence-based practices within military context and program evaluation design.
  • Performs complex data analysis on trends and clusters of protective and risk factors in review of suicidal ideation, deaths and attempts within the Command to provide Command-Wide recommendations on program enhancement and initiatives.
  • Perform data entry for a Commander Critical Incident Report (CCIR) tracking system, inputting all received CCIRs within 24 business hours from receipt.
  • Prepares data and reports for AFSOC Prevention Program Manager regarding status of AFSOC Suicide Prevention program to include compliance, trends, recommendations and initiatives.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent (MSSW, MSSA) degree from a graduate school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • maintain a current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • maintain credentialing requirements in good standing at a local MTF.
  • Additionally, shall have the following specialized training and education that prepare them for their duties: A minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years in the fully licensed, independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting. May be able to provide supervision based on site.
  • Experience working in a Government setting such a DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF is preferable.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of clinical social work services.
  • Must have experience in brief behavioral interventions.
  • May be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges.
  • Must have an maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) as certified by the American Heart Association.
  • Active Secret Clearance
