Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a real difference in children's lives? As a Behavior Technician with TLC, you’ll have the opportunity to teach children essential skills, including communication, social interaction, daily living, and pre-academic abilities. Join us in helping children with special needs reach their full potential!
Why Choose TLC?
At The Center for TLC, we are a family-centered pediatric therapy facility providing one-on-one services for infants through young adults. Here’s what sets us apart:
✔ 15+ Years of Community Trust: We’ve built a stellar reputation with our patients and their families.
✔ Stable & Consistent Hours: Unlike many clinics, we compensate Behavior Technicians for their total work hours, not just patient treatment time. No loss of hours if a patient cancels!
✔ Paid Lunches: Enjoy a paid lunch break for shifts of 6+ hours.
✔ In-Clinic Treatment Only: No in-home visits required.
✔ Supportive Work Environment: Daily guidance and mentorship from experienced supervisors.
✔ Fun, Collaborative Atmosphere: Work with a team that values professionalism, care, and enthusiasm.
Your Role as a Behavior Technician
You’ll work under the supervision of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions in a clinical setting.
- Collect accurate data on patient progress in skill acquisition, behavior management, and daily living activities.
- Regular consultation with supervising BCBA to review patient objectives/goals, assess patient progress and recommend changes to treatment plan as needed. This includes participating in weekly direct supervision with BCBA and child.
- Work closely with the supervising Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement effective treatment strategies for patients requiring additional support.
- Regular consultation with medical staff and other ABA and non-ABA therapists (e.g., speech and occupational therapists) to review patient progress.
- Assist BCBA in developing program materials for caregivers, teachers, and therapists.
