About Job

We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide mental health services to residents in long-term care and nursing home facilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to bring impactful psychiatric care to an often-overlooked population.

Why You'll Love This Role:

  • Make a Lasting Difference Provide essential mental health services to geriatric patients, many of whom have limited access to psychiatric care.

  • Flexible Schedule Enjoy autonomy over your calendar with options for part-time, full-time, or PRN coverage. Perfect for work-life balance.

  • Regional Travel with Variety Cover multiple facilities throughout the region — no two days are exactly the same, and you'll enjoy a change of scenery.

  • Collaborative Care Model Work closely with medical directors, nursing staff, and social workers to create well-rounded care plans.

  • Clinical Autonomy Practice independently with the support of administrative and clinical leadership. No micromanagement.

  • Low-Stress Environment Skip the chaos of hospitals and enjoy a calmer, more predictable day-to-day in post-acute and long-term care settings.

  • Low-Acuity, High-Reward Manage stable, chronic mental health conditions in a supportive environment.

  • Competitive Compensation Strong pay structure with legit growth potential.

  • Meaningful Relationships Build trust and continuity with a steady panel of patients — your presence will be valued and respected.

  • Multiple Locations Available Opportunities across several facilities to match your commute preferences or coverage areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and routine follow-ups

  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications

  • Collaborate with facility staff and family members

  • Document care in accordance with regulatory standards

  • Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care

Qualifications:

  • Certified PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)

  • Active, unrestricted state license

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred, but not required
