Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with behavioral health challenges, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is vital in supporting the development of essential skills and promoting positive behavior changes.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
- Assist in the development of care plans that address specific behavioral needs.
- Provide support in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
- Engage with children using appropriate behavioral management techniques to encourage positive interactions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records as required.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to reinforce strategies at home.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special education needs or behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices related to behavioral health.
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis for tracking client progress.
- Ability to develop and implement effective behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
- CPR certificate (if you do not have one, we will ask you to get it and we will reimburse you fully)
- Provide BACB supervsion for BACB exam
