Job Summary:
The Clinical Social Worker (CSW) will be responsible for providing on-site and virtual psychotherapy services to WHEDco program participants, building residents, and members of the local community. The CSW will manage a caseload of individual clients; facilitate support groups and workshops; and perform other related services including advocacy and resource and referral services. The position is full-time and in-person at our Urban Horizon location.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a range of clinical services utilizing individual, family and group modalities.
- Provide advocacy, resource and referral services in the following areas: anxiety and mood disorders, substance abuse, domestic violence, medication management, crisis intervention, etc.
- Develop and maintain linkages within a network of multi-disciplinary human service organizations for information exchange and referrals in the broader community.
- Plan and facilitate workshops and support groups in collaboration with other staff members as per clients' needs.
- Maintain accurate client files in an agency database (PlanStreet)
- Attend meetings that include but are not limited to team meetings, case conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and regularly scheduled supervisory meetings (individual and group supervision).
- Participate in in-house and external staff development and training activities.
- Perform other related duties as may be requested by the Director.
Qualifications:
- LCSW or LMSW; licensure preferred.
- Minimum of 1 -2 years' experience in providing mental health.
- Knowledge of clinical services, case management, and advocacy in a multi-disciplinary setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player; and able to work with a diverse team.
- Able to proactively multi-task and adapt to changing and competing needs.
- Experience in MS Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) and excellent overall computer and database skills.
This position is in-person, Monday through Friday 9-5 (with some possible changes based on client need).
