About Job

Boston Children’s Health Physicians is looking to hire a LMSW or MHC- LP to join our Mental Health and Wellness division in Poughkeepsie, New York. The position requires a professional who is experienced, warm, flexible, adaptable, and able to address a variety of patient needs, age groups, and diverse backgrounds.

This is a full–time position. Annual salary of $60,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience. Paid time off, including 20 days’ vacation, personal, sick and Holiday pay. Medical and dental benefits, as well 401k. As a part of employment, this clinician will receive supervision hours from a LCSW for advanced certification. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9:00am-7:00pm.

Job Duties

  • Provide individual and/or family therapy to children and adolescents
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy, to address the unique needs of each client.· Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner Provide referral to community resources based on individual needs
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings to enhance professional growth and ensure quality care

Hours: 40 hours a week, evenings are required.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work or mental health counseling
  • Licensed mental health professional: LMSW or MHC-LP in New York
  • Ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with children and adolescents from diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • At least one year of experience providing therapy to children and adolescents utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Strong knowledge of child development
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, knowledge of best practices working with children and families.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
