Description:
This position works under clinical supervision.
It requires considerable knowledge of behavioral healthcare programs and techniques.
This role is a member of a sex offender team.
As a member of the team, the responsible duties include sex offender interventions for a caseload of assigned offenders.
Duties include completing screenings and assessments.
Conducting group and sex offender interventions as prescribed is required.
Interventions must utilize evidence-based correctional program strategies within the scope of practice and as directed by supervision.
Writing reports and maintaining necessary data documents to meet federal, state, and local agency requirements is essential.
Documentation in the electronic health record of all inmate encounters and contacts is required.
Completing miscellaneous forms and reports as needed per policy and protocol is expected.
Transfer and discharge summaries must also be completed.
Consultation with other institution staff regarding the sex offender caseload, inmate's institutional adjustment, and service needs is necessary.
Attendance at meetings of program supervision for sex offenders is required.
Participation in in-service training and workshops for professional development is expected.
