Youth Activities Counselor – Part Time
Summary: The Youth Activities Counselor is responsible for facilitating youth programs and family friendly events, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. The work schedule will vary according to planned activities and events, and weekend availability is required.
Youth Activities Counselor – Part Time
Summary: The Youth Activities Counselor is responsible for facilitating youth programs and family friendly events, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. The work schedule will vary according to planned activities and events, and weekend availability is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club
- Leads and coordinates learning based activities with children i.e. arts, crafts, games, storytelling etc.
- Implement safety procedures as instructed by supervisor
- Completes accident/incident reports related to child injuries and behavior
- Assists with proper set up and breakdown of children’s activities and events
- Maintains clean environment for children and members
- Builds a positive dynamic between staff, children, and parents
- Interacts with all members, guests, peers, and supervisors in a professional manner
- Presents kids first mentality while making safety their top priority
- Assist in club wide events that have child friendly activities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Exhibit outgoing, professional personality
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Able to build and maintain relationships with team members
- Exceptional customer service skills
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in high school, high school diploma or equivalent
- One year’s minimum experience in childcare or youth activities
- CPR Certification (Adult, Child and Infant) Infant AED/First Aid & safety – We will provide training
