The Student Assistant (Social Work Intern) will receive general supervision from the assigned Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker in Social Work Services at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:
- Working on coursework towards a degree within the area of Social Sciences and anticipated completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Schedule and process CONREP requests for patient evaluations via hospital visit or video conference.
- Provide notification to hospital staff of scheduled CONREP evaluations.
- Accurately maintain CONREP data tracking systems and logs for all evaluations, referrals, Terms of Conditions and Letters of Acceptance.
- Assist with collecting data and preparing reports related to CONREP referrals and applications for public benfits.
- Assist in performing casework duties and group treatment activities.

Working Conditions
This position requires you to work within the Secured Treatment Area (STA).
Maximum of 1500 hours per Fiscal Year.
