We’re looking for an associate who can advise clients as they develop products and services; draft and update privacy policies, procedures, notifications, forms of consent, and related documents; and provide other general privacy counseling.

We help companies of all sizes and at every stage manage their collection, use, and disclosure of consumer, health, financial, employee, and other sensitive information. We provide comprehensive cybersecurity legal services, from governance, preparedness, and compliance to data breach response, and defense of regulatory investigations and multidistrict class-action litigation.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have a Solid Understanding Of
- Health information privacy (including human subjects research), and facility with federal (HIPAA) and state (CMIA, Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370) health care privacy laws;
- Consumer privacy;
- Other federal privacy laws, such as GLBA, FCRA, COPPA, and the FTC Act;
- Comprehensive state privacy laws, such as the CCPA;
- International privacy laws and regimes, such as the EU’s GDPR; and
- General technology and data flows.
- Drafting privacy policies;
- Negotiating privacy-related contracts and data processing agreements (BAAs, DPAs, DUAs);
- Providing product counseling;
- Conducting privacy compliance assessments;
- Drafting notifications for privacy and data security incidents; and
- Advising clients on adtech issues (desirable, but not essential).

The Anticipated Range For This Position Is
$310,000 - $445,000
Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance. Additional information about employee eligibility for benefits and discretionary bonus will be made available upon request.
