We are pleased to announce the following available position: FT INTAKE COUNSELOR- OVERNIGHT
The primary responsible for an Admissions Clinician is performing all aspects of the assessment and admissions processes in the Admissions Department. Additional responsibilities include efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, knowledge of, and communication with referral sources; providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies and professionals; making outside referrals, when appropriate; assessing and triaging an individuals' mental health status; making patient safety and level of care recommendations to the physician; identifying insurance benefits, pre-certification of patient care; completing all admission requirements; communicating patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staffing and admitting physician when necessary; documenting all required information in Med Series 4.

Must have a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field.
Must have two years in the Mental Health Field preferably in Intake/Triage/Admissions area.
