Counseling Adjuncts 2025-2026
This position is subject to the successful completion of an employment background check. The Department of Counseling has need for part-time or adjunct faculty to teach courses in core and specialty areas for Professional School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
We invite applications to be submitted for potential openings.
These positions are especially suited for potential faculty who possess a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision and independent licensure in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and/or Licensed School Counselor. Excellence in teaching and learning conducted within a rigorous and stimulating environment is an important core value of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Applicants with a master's degree in counseling, independent supervisory counseling experience, and education in counseling supervision will be considered for teaching practicum and internship field placement courses
The Department of Counseling offers two CACREP accredited degrees in counseling: Professional School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The Department has a strong commitment to graduate education and national standards of counselor education, and was awarded the 2013 National Board of Certified Counselors Professional Identity Award.
