Academic Staffing Inc., an ESS Company, is seeking a Licensed School Social Worker in Toms River, NJ.

Pay starting from $59/hr up to $67/hr.

Rates are commensurate with experience.

As a School Social Worker at Toms River you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall well-being of our students. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to provide essential services to students facing various social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Your role will be instrumental in promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from CSWE accredited university.
• Active state-level licensure and/or certification OR ability to obtain.
• Experience working in schools or with children is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide targeted support to students with moderate social-emotional or behavioral needs interfering with school success.

2. Qualify students for services using the district’s identification criteria, and transition students to exit service when appropriate

3. Provide individual and/or small group counseling based on therapy goals

4. Maintain documentation of services

5. Regular collaboration and communication with families and school personnel

6. Referrals for a higher level of care as needed

7. Conduct crisis screenings and interventions as needed
