Day Treatment QMHP Behavioral Counselor ***$500 Signing Bonus***
Day treatment is a highly individualized treatment program for children who face challenges in the classroom due to mental or behavioral health challenges. The Day Treatment Facilitator (QMHP) is responsible for providing care in the daily operations of the program and leading staff in the provision of activities and skills building to the participants. The Facilitator will have diversified skills in working with children /youth, demonstrating extensive knowledge of individual and family dynamics and understanding the dynamics of the team. The Facilitator will focus on developing strategies and activities in alignment with company expectations in this challenging but rewarding position.

*As positions will be working in settings operated by Gaston County Schools, the individual hired will be working a schedule that is directly impacted by the GCS schedule as it pertains to holidays, teachers' workdays, and other closures*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their emotions and effective coping skills

· Positively engage clients in all interactions while remaining therapeutic and person centered

· Establish and maintain an environment that is conducive to treatment and client’s emotional development

· Plan and prepare for therapeutic activities on a daily basis by completing weekly lesson plans

· Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and activities on clients

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records including daily notes and service activity logs

· Communicate client progress to the treatment team, as needed and permitted

· Maintain confidentiality of all client information and records

· Comply with all agency policies and procedures

· Other duties as assigned

· Completes documentation timely and accurately

· Provides quality services in accordance with agency guidelines and ADA

· Minimal occurrences of unscheduled absences or tardiness
· Follows all CDC guidelines to ensure client safety in classroom

Experience: Child/Adolescent Mental Health: 2 years

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
