The Living Room at Princeton is a private, compassion-based substance abuse and mental health treatment provider offering Partial Care (PC), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) levels of care. Through our combined experience, both professional and personal, we believe that it is vital for treatment providers to assist their patients in building an accepting, compassionate and forgiving relationship with themselves.Our full range of therapeutic services are available to participants of all programs, and include individual therapy, group therapy, substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling, meditation and Yoga combined with the compassion high performance model that has been developed and so successfully implemented by our founder, Dr. August Leming over the course of his career.Intake Coordinator / Case Manager responsibilities include:
  • Oversee coordination of needs and work in conjunction with client and individual therapist in treatment planning and goals, identifying additional needed support services including educational, vocational, legal, recreational, mental health and social services;
  • Conduct intake process, initial introduction and initial consultation and orient new clients to The Living Room at Princeton
  • Check-in with clients at the following frequency: weekly for the first month in IOP/OP. Frequency to be determined thereafter on an as-needed basis;
  • Attend and participate in treatment team meetings on a weekly basis to ensure quality of care for clients;
  • Attend staff development and general staff meetings;
  • Attend staff and clinical trainings;
  • Coordinate with client and individual therapist to create after care plan, beginning as soon as possible upon admission;
  • Facilitate support groups for clients;
  • Consult daily with Clinical Supervisor and Administrator/Program Director for an update on client needs, special incidents, level of care transfers, etc.;
  • Assist in identifying resources and facilitating appropriate services for referral, in conjunction with clinical team;
  • Communicate with parents and other approved family members, as appropriate, to encourage and facilitate family involvement, education. Keep family members informed of after-care planning and scheduled changes in care levels or locations. Be available to answer questions and to direct family members to appropriate staff or services, as needed;
  • Complete and maintain all documentation of services delivered which includes individual records, progress notes, group notes, after care plans, etc. in Kipu based on daily log;
  • Ensures cohesion of services documented within the medical and clinical charts, and assists with compliance of various standards;
  • Coordinate service provision with probation officers, etc., as needed;
  • Communicate with Medical Director and Attending Physicians to ensure quality medical services are provided to the client on a timely and as needed basis;
  • Participate in and attend supervision/consultation with clinical management team;
  • Collaborates with members of the multi-disciplinary treatment team to ensure effective delivery of a full spectrum of clinical services;
  • Comply with local, state and federal confidentiality laws and regulations;
  • Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the agency, as appropriate;
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences; and
  • Abide by The Living Room at Princeton code of ethics and model values.
Requirements
  • A deep commitment to ethical behavior and a respect for the policies designed to uphold the company's integrity.
  • An understanding of compassion-based psychotherapy and openness to eastern philosophy.
Preferences
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of mental health/ behavioral health.
  • Well versed in eastern philosophy with a passion for the value of meditation and physical movement.
  • Ability to invite the client to experience life as it is without judgment, and to find the freedom and peace that this provides.
  • Familiarity with the likes of Pema Chodron, Alan Watts, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Krishnamurti, Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle, and Brene Brown, Tara Brach.
  • An outstanding communicator who can guide the treatment experience with compassion, a curious mind and open heart.
Salary range: $55,000-65,000/year depending on skills and experience.Job Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:
