HOSPICE OF ORANGE & SULLIVAN COUNTIES, Inc. MID HUDSON, NY (Onsite)

About Job

Description

Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. (HOSC) is seeking a full-time Finance Service Coordinator to join our Finance Team.

As the Finance Service Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care by overseeing the financial components of patient care, serving as the liaison between our patients and insurance providers. This role will verify insurance coverage (Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance), secure authorizations, and explain financial responsibilities to patients and families - often serving as their first point of contact. The Finance Service Coordinator will collaborate closely with nursing and social work teams on our Kaplan Family Hospice Residence (KFHR) placements, maintain the daily KFHR bed list, generate invoices, and process ambulance and hospital claims. Additionally, this position will coordinate single case agreements, update patient insurance information within the EMR, notify hospitals and nursing homes of hospice admissions, and ensure timely collection of required financial documents.

We're looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can create a welcoming, organized experience for patients and families. You'll also assist the Revenue Cycle Manager and CFO with other financial projects as needed.

If you're detail-oriented, compassionate, and ready to make a meaningful difference in hospice care, we'd love to hear from you!
