Requirements

PhD or PsyD with post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology

Board Certification, or eligibility to be certified within two years is preferred

Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Wisconsin and inclusion in the National Register
The Opportunity

Work alongside an experienced team of adult and pediatric neuropsychologists

Integrated care coordination with Neurosciences

Testing support from a team of Psychometrists

Referrals are multi-disciplinary, from primary care and neurology, as well as other providers
-
Position involves the coordination and provision of outpatient neuropsychological assessments, as well as consulting with primary care and specialty care, medical staff and community agencies
-
Major patient populations include complex neurological disorders, autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injuries/concussion, developmental/congenital disorders, ADHD/learning disabilities, epilepsy, as well as a broad range of complex medical disorders

Job Summary:
Provide psychological evaluations, direct therapeutic services and consultative mental healthcare services to individuals, families and treatment teams.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Advises on population health related matters for target population (seen as content expert for this population of patients in the health system).

Collaborates with medical professionals when needs of the patient/family dictate. Conducts and interprets diagnostic tests.

Contributes to overall Behavioral Health quality of care by coordinating services and initiating and participating in quality of care improvement measures and procedures.

Discuss school accommodations when indicated, access advocacy resources when needed.

Documents patient care in the medical record according to federal, state, and agency guidelines.

Establishes differential diagnosis, develop appropriate treatment plan and monitor response accordingly. Refer patient and family for psychotherapy as indicated, as well as to other SSM Health and community resources.

Formulate, execute and review healthcare education delivered to patients and families.

Offers supervision of psychometricians, LPC's and psychologists as needed for delivery of psychological evaluations.

Participates in developing policies and healthcare reforms, improve service quality, and practice evaluation. Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and evaluations.

Performs clinical history and psychological assessment, risk factor assessment, psychiatric diagnostic assessment utilizing assessment tools as indicated.

Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Doctorate in Psychology or related field
EXPERIENCE
- Two years' experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent reaching, sitting, standing and walking.

Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).

Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, twisting and gripping.

Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
