Position Title: Associate Patient Care Coordinator
Client: Leading Healthcare Company
Location: Edison, NJ - 100% Onsite (Edison Internal Medicine)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $15-$16/hr, DOE
Duration: 6-months, ongoing contract
Work Hours: Monday-Friday | 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST
Position Summary:
Join a collaborative medical practice team supporting 3 providers and 7 staff members. As an Associate Patient Care Coordinator, you will handle front office operations, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and patient communication. This role plays a key part in creating a seamless, patient-first experience at a high-volume medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify insurance on the date of service
  • Promptly process and document referrals
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in
  • Greet and assist patients entering the practice
  • Gather and update patient demographics and insurance info
  • Maintain and file medical records accurately
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Professionally handle inbound phone calls
  • Coordinate follow-up services such as specialist appointments, labs, and reports
  • Follow Riverside's employee policies and HIPAA/OSHA regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
  • Customer service experience
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience using Epic (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Background in high-volume medical office environments
