Position Title: Associate Patient Care Coordinator
Client: Leading Healthcare Company
Location: Edison, NJ - 100% Onsite (Edison Internal Medicine)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $15-$16/hr, DOE
Duration: 6-months, ongoing contract
Work Hours: Monday-Friday | 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST
Position Summary:
Join a collaborative medical practice team supporting 3 providers and 7 staff members. As an Associate Patient Care Coordinator, you will handle front office operations, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and patient communication. This role plays a key part in creating a seamless, patient-first experience at a high-volume medical office.

Position Summary:

As an Associate Patient Care Coordinator, you will handle front office operations, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and patient communication. This role plays a key part in creating a seamless, patient-first experience at a high-volume medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance on the date of service
- Promptly process and document referrals
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in
- Greet and assist patients entering the practice
- Gather and update patient demographics and insurance info
- Maintain and file medical records accurately
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Professionally handle inbound phone calls
- Coordinate follow-up services such as specialist appointments, labs, and reports
- Follow Riverside's employee policies and HIPAA/OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Experience using Epic (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Background in high-volume medical office environments
