About Job
Our dedicated team of professionals provide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis.
- Acceptable oral and electronic communication
- Ability to maintain information as highly confidential
- Telephone etiquette, and customer service skills by phone and face-to-face
- Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred
- Skilled in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the organization
- Basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology useful
- Skills in prioritizing and in managing time, problem-solving skills
- Use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients, and empathy toward patients
Minimum Education
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field with specialization in mental health
- Preferred current Professional Associate Licensure is strongly preferred
- Valid Driver’s License preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Recent experience in individual, group, and family therapy preferred
- Ability to assess the needs and provide the required range of treatment modalities and interventions
- Prefer a minimum of one-year experience in discharge planning, clinical case management or a similar position in a community based agency setting which provides
