Summary:
The office of Student Support Services offers a paid school counseling internship for eligible candidates in school counseling. This position reports to the Project Specialist.
WISH: Winchester Investing in Student Mental Health will build a collaborative partnership between WPS and universities. Under supervision, this position provides school counseling services to students: academic, social and personal, and career counseling. To include mental health support. Specific duties and responsibilities will reflect the context and needs of each school to which a school counselor intern is assigned.
The essential function is to deliver school counseling services that facilitate learning and promote the cognitive, social, and personal development of all students.
Students interested in applying for an internship with WPS must provide the following materials electronically via the online application process:
  • Verification of completion of all coursework/practicum experiences of a school counseling program
  • A recommendation from the university that the student is eligible to enter into a school counseling internship

Qualifications:
Enrollment in a School Counseling Master's degree program
Salary & Workday: Full-Time: $50,715 annually, 7 hours a day, 180 days (two semesters), OR 7 hours a day, 90 days (one semester), benefits
Part-Time: Less than 7 hours a day, less than 90 days total, no benefits
Housing Stipend: $1,200 for Full-Time Employees; $600 for Part-Time Employees, one time payment
Tuition Assistance: $5,000 for Full-Time Employees; $2,500 for Part-Time Employees
