Position Details:

  • Position: School Psychologist
  • Location: Polk County, OR
  • Expected Start Date: 9/2/2025
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday


Role Responsibilities:

  • Develops collaborative partnerships with special education teams in school buildings.
  • Conducts special education evaluations; reviews school files and previous evaluation data; gathers data from student, parents, building staff; interprets evaluation data; summarizes findings in psycho-educational report.
  • Meets with school-based sped team(s) to explain evaluation results and determine eligibility.
  • Offers on-going evaluation to staff and parents. Stays informed of current research regarding best practices.
  • Uses a problem solving framework in providing consultation with building staff regarding student behavior concerns.
  • Assists self-contained classrooms and school staff with development of crisis support plans.
  • Collaboratively develops student specific intervention plans and provides ongoing follow-up support.
  • Serves as a liaison to students, staff, and parents regarding schools and community resources.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Licensed by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC);
  • Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate
  • Proven experience working with diverse student populations and implementing social-emotional interventions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school staff.
