Responsibilities:
- Accompany assigned student throughout the school day to provide behavioral and academic support
- Implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education Teacher and behavior analyst
- Attend related service sessions with student (ex. speech, OT, PT) and reinforce work in these goal areas
- Work with other specialists and to implement additional specified goals and objectives
- Implement programs developed by teacher, behavior analyst and/or consultant with fidelity
- Maintain accurate data and graphing on all designated programs
- Plan and implement all aspects of systematic instructional sequences within self-contained classroom, inclusion environments, and reverse mainstream environments
- Meet regularly with behavior analyst, special education teacher, support team
- Attend staff meetings
- Provide reports of student progress when deemed necessary by teacher and/or team
- Participate in ongoing training
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; minimum of two years college experience or evidence of having passed the ParaPro Exam required
- Demonstrate knowledge of special education practices (autism)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed
