A full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides mental health services, including medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and crisis intervention, supporting primary care and behavioral health integration.
- Consults with physicians and care teams via electronic health records, phone, or in-person to coordinate patient treatment plans.
- Participates in case conferences, high-risk meetings, and treatment planning, ensuring appropriate transitions of care.
- Prescribes and monitors psychotropic medications, documents clinical notes, and conducts diagnostics for patients of all ages, including those with substance use disorders.
- Provides in-service training, reviews case records, and collaborates with staff to ensure quality care.
- Must hold a Master's Degree, be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, and have CPR/BLS certification.
- Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish, with knowledge of diagnostic procedures and experience serving diverse populations.
