The Psychiatric Social Worker is part of an interdisciplinary team providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, intervention, and psycho-education to patients and families.
- Must be skilled in various treatment modalities and familiar with psychopathology and community resources.
- Primarily engaged in direct patient care, including crisis intervention and therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Responsibilities include conducting initial assessments, recommending therapeutic actions, documenting clinical encounters, and providing consultation on family and sociocultural factors.
- Requires a master's degree in a behavioral health field, licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT), and at least two years of post-graduate mental health experience.
- Preferred experience includes trauma and high-acuity diagnoses, with availability to work weekends.
- Adheres to all regulatory, ethical, and organizational guidelines, maintains confidentiality, and participates in quality improvement activities.
