A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a K-12 school located in Hampden, ME. This contract role begins in late August and offers an opportunity to support students across grades 6-12. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., aligning with the academic calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students in grades 6-12
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and interventions to address academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes
- Support crisis intervention and behavioral strategies within the school environment
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license applicable to Maine
- Experience working with K-12 student populations
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams
