New Paradigm For Education (NPFE) is a non-profit Charter Management Organization (CMO) composed of educational practitioners, community advocates, and business leaders who have dedicated years of service to children. NPFE serves 2,100 students in Detroit, Michigan. We specialize in maximizing student learning potential through proven education practices and managing all phases of school design, planning, and program implementation.

New Paradigm for Education seeks educators who have a relentless belief that all students, regardless of their race and economic or social circumstances, can perform at high levels, deserve a quality education, have access to high quality instruction and curriculum, and can attain post secondary success. Educators who are driven bv academic achievement, continuous growth, and excel working in a rigorous and supportive environment. We seek culturally responsive educators who have experience working with diverse communities and strong relationship-building skills that they apply to understand their students, families, and communities.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in social work
- License to practice school social work in Michigan
- Prior classroom experience working with school-age children
- Experience using culturally affirming practices, working with diverse communities, and strong relationship-building skills to understand students, families, and communities.
- Background in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, charter education, or counseling preferred
- A growth mindset and collaborative approach to meeting students needs
Support and Services
- Proactively develop social-emotional educational programs to meet student needs.
- Providing counseling sessions, treatment plans, or workshops as necessary and establishing prevention programs and intervention plans.
- Communicating with students and parents to determine the areas in which they may need assistance or counseling.
- Assisting teachers and school staff with behavioral and attitude issues by communicating with students to find the causes of their distress.
- Providing information, when appropriate, to outside support services to help students with economic, emotional, or physical issues.
- Assisting at-risk students or students with disabilities.
- Communicating with parents, teachers, and administrators to understand students' challenges.
- Maintaining case files and reports to track students' progress and problems.
- Helping students and families connect to resources to address various needs.
- Maintain progress records for all support services provided by the school.
