Position Overview
We’re hiring a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) to provide clinical assessments, therapy, and treatment planning for clients in behavioral health settings. This role includes supervising direct care staff, coordinating care, ensuring compliance, and delivering services both in-person and via telehealth using evidence-based approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough mental health evaluations, including intake assessments and biopsychosocial interviews, to inform diagnostic impressions
- Provide therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups using evidence-based practices such as CBT, trauma-informed models, and EMDR (if trained)
- Create and routinely revise Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) based on client goals, strengths, and therapeutic needs
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), including progress notes, treatment plans, and clinical summaries
- Track progress and adjust clinical approaches to ensure effective treatment outcomes
- Utilize therapeutic de-escalation strategies and non-medical crisis intervention techniques when appropriate
- Collaborate with supervisors, case managers, and interdisciplinary partners to deliver coordinated, client-focused care
- Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, and collaborative planning sessions
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
- Fully licensed in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent LMHP designation.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of direct clinical experience with individuals or families experiencing mental health challenges.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in outpatient or community-based settings.
- Preferred (but not required):
- Trained in EMDR, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, or similar.
- Prior experience with Medicaid documentation and authorizations.
