About Job

The Elementary School Counselor provides comprehensive support services that promote student academic success, social-emotional development, and career awareness. The counselor collaborates with students, families, teachers, and administrators to implement a data-driven school counseling program aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model and Florida DOE standards.

Position Details from the Martin County School District:

Important Information: If you are applying for a position that requires a Florida Educator Certificate and you are not yet certified to teach in the state of Florida, you need to complete the application for the Florida Educator Certificate through the Florida Department of Education's (FLDOE) website, www.fldoe.org.
In order for the FLDOE to review your application for a certificate, you will need to submit the on-line application form, pay the application fee, and mail them your official transcript(s). If you have an educator certificate from another state, you need to upload a copy of it to your FLDOE on-line application.
The FLDOE can take up to thirty (30) days to process a transcript to an account once they receive it.
If you or your spouse have been in the US military, you may qualify for certification and exam fee waivers. You can find this waiver information on the FLDOE's website, www.fldoe.org.

Applicants Not Currently Employed within the Martin County School District

If you are not currently employed with the Martin County School District, you are required to complete all sections of the on-line application and submit it including any documents as required per the job description for the position for which you have applied.

In accordance with School Board policy you must provide three references for employment with MCSD. You will provide two references in the Reference section and provide your current supervisor's information in the Work History section so the Hiring Site's Administrator can contact your current/most recent supervisor for the third reference. Reference questionnaires will be emailed if you are offered an interview for a position.

All sections must show as complete and all required documents noted with an asterisk (*) must be attached before the system will allow you to click on the "Submit To HR" button.

Full Time Current Employees
