We are currently seeking a qualified and student-focused Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certified School Counselor to support academic, social-emotional, and career development for students in a school-based setting. This role involves collaborating with students, families, and educational teams to foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being
- Assist students with academic planning, behavioral goals, and post-secondary readiness
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to address student needs
- Contribute to the development of IEPs, 504 Plans, and intervention strategies
- Conduct crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
- Promote a respectful and inclusive school climate
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with school and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Current ESA certification as a School Counselor in the state of Washington
- Master’s degree in school counseling, psychology, or a closely related field
- Prior experience in a school or youth services setting is preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds
