About Job
The Service League of San Mateo County is a non-profit agency located in Redwood City. Since 1961 we have been providing compassionate services for thousands of individuals and their infants, with a focus on real solutions and personal growth.
OUR VISION: To effectively provide San Mateo County residents and their families with the essential safety net services they need to successfully re-enter the community.
In 1990 we opened our first Hope House, a residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment for women, pregnant women and women with infants. Since then, we have opened five transitional homes for both men and women.
Hope House is our licensed and certified Drug MediCal (DMC) women's residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program. We have two homes side-by-side in a residential neighborhood. Our mission is to provide treatment via groups, classes, and individual therapy in a structured yet warm environment. Our clients receive individualized services targeted to fit their unique circumstances. Our evidence-based, gender specific, trauma-informed groups address addiction and other harmful behaviors. We work closely with the courts and other agencies to address legal issues and to start the process of reunification for women with their children. Our licensed therapist and the counselors on our team must work from a strengths-based, harm-reduction, social rehabilitation model. Our clients are diverse, and we respect different value systems and do not discriminate based on ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities, disabilities, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, economic status, or religion.
