Eastway Behavioral Healthcare is the largest, private, not-for-profit provider of mental health, substance abuse, housing, residential, employment and educational services in the Miami Valley.

This position will be at our Northcutt boy’s residential facility in Dayton, Ohio. We are looking for a Residential Care Coordinator. Our mission is to create new chances, new choices, and new hope for traumatized children and their families by breaking the vicious cycle of child abuse and addressing the self-destructive behaviors brought on by experiencing severe trauma in childhood.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Actively work as a part of the Northcutt clinical team to provide quality mental health care to the children in our program.
  • Provide mental health services to Residential and Aftercare clients who have trauma-based behaviors and help them work through those issues through different treatment approaches, including group and individual sessions.
  • Work with the parents and other caretakers of the children in our Aftercare program to help the children be successful after their discharge from residential treatment.
  • Help to coordinate care among involved agencies for children in the Residential program as well as children in the Aftercare program.
  • Develop Individual Service Plans for Aftercare clients. Write monthly reports and discharge summaries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related Field
  • Knowledge and experience working with children ages 5-14 desired.
  • Prior experience as a case manager, community support specialist, or QMHS is relevant but training will be provided.
  • Knowledge and experience in Windows-based computer applications.
  • Ability to remain calm and level-headed in crisis situations and display the ability to effectively meet children at their individual developmental levels.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds,

Must be at least 21 years old

Valid driver's license and auto insurance is required.

Hours: Flexible schedule. Requires alternate weekend hours.

Job Type: Full-time
