About Job

Another Door Opens Recovery Center (ADORC) is a Medicaid-approved outpatient program providing treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We serve a diverse adult population and are committed to high-quality, evidence-based care. We are currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) to join our clinical team.

Position Overview

The LCADC will provide direct clinical services including individual therapy, group counseling, assessments, and treatment planning for clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The LCADC will also play a key role in supervising CADCs and interns, contributing to clinical oversight and program compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM level-of-care determinations
  • Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans in collaboration with each client
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on recovery, relapse prevention, and behavioral change
  • Document services in compliance with NJDMHAS and Medicaid standards
  • Provide clinical supervision to CADCs and counselor interns as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (case managers, prescribers, peer specialists)
  • Participate in staff meetings, treatment team reviews, and quality assurance initiatives

Qualifications

  • Active LCADC license in the state of New Jersey (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in substance use treatment or co-occurring programs
  • Proficient in ASAM criteria, DSM-5 diagnoses, and clinical documentation
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid billing and documentation standards
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Must pass background and credentialing process

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with trauma, reentry, or court-mandated clients
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and telehealth platforms
  • Supervisory experience or interest in training new counselors

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

  • Evenings as needed
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
