Deaconess Cross Pointe, a fully accredited 58-bed inpatient facility, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing team. This is a full-time, inpatient position, offering a supportive work environment with a focus on providing high-quality care to children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric care for youth and adult patients in an inpatient setting.
- Participate in the DCP Medical Staff Leadership meetings bi-weekly to review schedules and address clinical and programmatic issues.
- Manage an average daily census of 26 patients on the Adult Unit and 12 patients on the Youth Unit.
- Share on-call responsibility with other psychiatrists, with after-hours call occurring once a week (5:00 PM - 8:00 AM), including triaging intake calls and providing disposition and admission orders.
- Weekend on-call rotation (1:10) requiring triaging intake calls and rounding on inpatients on Saturday and Sunday. An Advanced Practice Nurse is available to assist every weekend.
- Option to take on the role of Youth Psychiatric Medical Director for an additional stipend.
- Utilize Epic EMR, a shared system across Deaconess clinics and hospitals.
Qualifications:
- BC/BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Strong commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred but not required.
