About Job

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Licensed Therapist you will deliver professional treatment to adults in an inpatient setting who are experiencing problems associated with substance use, mental health and primary or co-occurring substance use disorders. As a Licensed Therapist you will utilize professional clinical assessment and treatment planning skills, individual, family and group counseling skills, and diagnostic skills using DSM and ASAM for level of care criteria. Licensed Therapist at EPIC also serves as a Qualified Professional to perform reviews and supervises clinical work product of Registered Mental Health Interns and other master’s level student interns.

This is a full-time in-office position at 40 hours weekly and includes the following responsibilities:

  • Prepares psychosocial assessment and diagnostic formulation for use in assessment, treatment planning, monthly treatment plan reviews, and discharge planning for Level of Care (LOC) considerations.

· Conducts individual, group & family counseling sessions as indicated on the treatment plan.

· Provides discharge planning of patients prior to completion in order to ensure smooth transition to continuing care and other social services.

· Works collaboratively with internal and external partners transitioning to appropriate care continuum to maintain a safety net of resources for individuals served.

· Collaborates with the patient’s treating psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner to coordinate care for successful treatment outcomes.

· Evaluates and responds to any urgent care of patients and/or their families and provides crisis counseling as needed.

· Completes documentation of all services provided by incorporating data and activity of behavioral, therapeutic, and medical staff.

· Collaborates with the Peer Recovery Specialist and/or Care Coordinator to coordinate referrals to auxiliary community resources to address each patient’s Social Determinates of Health (SDOH).

· Provides information and education to family members and significant others of patients to link with needed resources to help improve the quality of life for the patient.

· Participates in internal peer review meetings weekly for case consultation with other EPIC clinicians as facilitated by the Clinical Director.

· Participates in All Staff meetings monthly for company-wide updates.

  • Serves as Qualified Professional in accordance with appropriate state regulations including Baker Act attestations. Performs Qualified Professional review of client charts, as needed.
  • Supervises the work product of interns as requested by the Supervisor of Clinical Services.

· Manages a maximum caseload of 50 clients based on frequency of services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed in the State of Florida in Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy or a Licensed Psychologist.

  • Five (5) years experience in providing patient mental health and substance use treatment services.
  • Experience in effective assessment and treatment techniques, group skills, documentation ability, and clinical and behavioral management of adults.
  • Familiar with telemedicine.
  • Current valid driver’s license in the State of Florida

· Successful completion of Level 2 background screen and drug screen.
