About Job

 A Pump and Well Technician installs, maintains, and repairs water well pumps, motors, and associated equipment, including basic water treatment systems. They troubleshoot issues, perform diagnostics, and ensure proper operation of pumping systems, often working in teams and interacting with customers. This role may also involve working with above and below ground infrastructure, water storage, and other components of water systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Installing submersible pumps, jet pumps, pressure tanks, and connecting them to electrical systems. 
  • Maintenance: Performing routine checks, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments to ensure optimal pump performance. 
  • Repair: Diagnosing and repairing pump systems, including electrical and mechanical components, and replacing worn or damaged parts. 
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues with pumps, motors, control panels, and other related equipment. 
  • Customer Interaction: Communicating with customers about the work being performed and providing excellent service. 
  • Safety: Adhering to safety regulations and environmental compliance standards. 
  • Documentation: Completing work orders, service reports, and other necessary paperwork. 
  • Teamwork: Collaborating with other technicians and professionals on projects. 
  • Inventory Management: Keeping service trucks stocked with necessary parts and supplies. 

Specific tasks may include:

  • Pulling and setting pumps using rig or crane equipment.
  • Working with electrical control panels, pressure switches, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Installing and maintaining poly, PVC, and steel piping.
  • Conducting flow and yield testing.
  • Fabricating new parts and assembling equipment.
  • Operating and maintaining generators.
  • Performing distribution system flushing.
  • Working with water treatment equipment. 




Compensation details: 21.5-27.5 Hourly Wage
